An Underground Tunnel Core Drilling Rig is a specialized, robust drilling system engineered for operation within the confined and challenging environment of tunnel construction and mining drifts. Its primary function is to extract continuous, high-quality rock core samples from the surrounding strata for critical geotechnical analysis and geological forecasting.

Unlike surface rigs, its design prioritizes compact dimensions, modularity, and adaptability to navigate narrow access tunnels and operate in proximity to ongoing excavation activities. It is typically mounted on tracks, skids, or a low-profile chassis for stability and precise positioning on uneven tunnel floors.

The rig employs a hydraulic top-drive or rotary head to provide high torque and controlled thrust, enabling efficient penetration through hard rock using diamond-impregnated core barrels. It is capable of drilling long, directional probe holes (often exceeding 100-200 meters) ahead of the tunnel face—a process known as probe or percussive drilling—which is essential for identifying geological hazards such as fault zones, water inflows, or gas pockets before excavation reaches them.

Semi-automated rod handling for safety and efficiency in tight spaces.

A: For large quantity or heavy products, we ship by sea shipping or land shipping.
Shipping efficiency depends on country and city you want to ship to.
For small and delicate products, we ship by DHL, UPS, Fedex or TNT. You can also appoint shipping method you like before we ship.
